The Paris Food Tour

There’s a famous quote that says, “There is no sincerer love than the love for food.” So, if you love food like I do, you’ll surely enjoy reading this post about my Paris food tour.

Here, I’m going to take you through some of the delectable delights that I got to taste recently in Paris. I took the cue from a sweet lady and fellow blogger, Chandroma, where she describes her Delhi Food Tour. It’s a great read!

Parisians are known for their love for all things sweet. If you have a sweet tooth like I do, you will fall in love with their cute patisseries and boulangeries! Of course Macarons are great, but I would strongly recommend you to try the Crepes, Eclairs and Meringue on your Paris food tour.

Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day and there’s nothing that I love more than a hearty English breakfast. French breakfast is almost the same as English breakfast, minus the eggs.

Breakfast in France, typically consists of a Baguette (French bread) with butter and jam, or a Croissant, orange juice and a hot drink (coffee, tea or hot chocolate).

I’m personally not a big fan of Baguettes as I find them a bit too hard. But I’m nuts about Croissants! And when it comes to Croissants, no one makes it better than the French do.

That soft, buttery goodness always made my day! I do love eggs for breakfast. However, I don’t mind going without them as long as I have a Croissant that melts in your mouth.

For lunch, you can try the sandwiches. Since they make the sandwiches using Baguettes, I used to steer clear of them as they’re way too chewy for my taste. Instead I used to settle for Omelettes or a Quiche Lorraine. Fries are, of course, served with almost anything you order.

Paris is undoubtedly, a food-lover’s paradise. In the limited time I had, I was able to taste only a small fraction of the delights the city offers. My taste buds certainly had a gala time in Paris!

I would love to know about some more French delights I might have missed, that are a must-try on a Paris food tour. Feel free to share in the comments below!

My favourite food in Paris were the croque monsieur and the croque madame for lunch. And then I had a delicious steak for dinner in a lovely bistrot and I will never forget that!
